CAR LEASING · PERSONAL & BUSINESS
Drive for an agreed time.
With a clear framework.
Leasing is about using a vehicle. The term, agreed mileage and contract conditions determine how well an offer fits your daily life.
The key
decisions.
A low payment does not explain the whole offer. Consider all costs across the full term.
How long would you like to drive?
The term should fit your plans. Before signing, check the options and costs for early termination.
What mileage is realistic?
Mileage-based leases specify agreed mileage and charges or credits for differences. Residual-value leases instead focus on the agreed residual value.
What does returning the vehicle involve?
Agree return location, condition, possible extra charges and included services. A later purchase option exists only if agreed.
ASSESS AN OFFER
What does the full term cost?
Enter the figures from an existing lease offer. Use either net or gross prices consistently.
Calculation: monthly payment × months + initial payment + additional costs. Running costs, excess mileage and return charges are excluded. This is not a lease offer or a commitment to terms.
BUSINESS LEASING & COMPANY CARS
For your business.
For your journeys.
For company cars, business use, mileage and running costs matter alongside the vehicle itself. Specify whether you need one company car or several.
- Describe vehicle type and purpose precisely.
- Estimate annual mileage and planned use period.
- Identify servicing, maintenance and insurance within the offer.
- Clearly distinguish net and gross prices when comparing.
Tax and accounting effects depend on the contract and your situation; discuss them with your tax adviser.
PERSONAL, BUSINESS OR COMMERCIAL USE
The same contract model.
Different requirements.
Personal leasing
Estimate commuting, leisure and holiday travel together. Beyond the payment, check the initial payment, delivery and end-of-term conditions.
Company cars
Record equipment rules and annual mileage. Who approves the vehicle, who pays running costs and which services should be included?
Commercial vehicle leasing
Include fittings and special bodywork from the start. Agree how they appear in the offer and what happens when the vehicle is returned.
